About Sterling Silver
In order for silver to be designated as sterling, it
must contain 92.5% silver with no more than 7.5%
additives used as hardeners. All of the jewelry Penelope
offers is manufactured by reputable companies who
guarantee the quality of their product. Indeed most pieces
are stamped “925” indicating that they are sterling unless
the piece is too small or delicate to stamp. Other pieces
may actually have the word “sterling” stamped on them.
Sterling is a soft metal, but with care your jewelry will
grow more beautiful as you wear it. We send a complementary
cleaning cloth with all orders and additional cleaning cloths
can be purchased.
